Fire/Safety Systems Inspection/Repair Services

Maintenance/testing of the emergency systems shall include all services, labor, materials and equipment necessary to do this work. The areas requiring this service shall include: 1. The complete testing and maintenance of the fire alarm equipment, to include but not be limited to: (a) door closers, pull stations, alarm buzzers and horns. Clean, adjust, test each device and repair as needed for essential servicing; (b) smoke detectors, sprinkler system and heat detectors -visual check, test, clean or replace as needed for essential servicing; (c) main and sub-panels - clean exterior and interior, visual check, test and repair systems as needed for essential servicing on a semi-annual basis. 2. The complete testing and maintenance of the emergency pull cord system. Clean panels, check and repair system needed for essential servicing. 3. The complete testing and maintenance of the security entrance system. Clean main panel, sub-panels and apartment intercom stations. Check and repair systems as needed for essential servicing. This service will exclude service to the emergency lighting system at Harris House, Murray Manor, and at the GMHA Office Building. These systems and equipment shall be tested and maintained in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 72, State and Local Code requirements.
