Roadwork Birch Springs Road

The bid will include clearing and grubbing of trees on south end of project to maintain 14' width, cut, remove and dispose of trees, stumps, brush, excess sod and grass in the disposal areas designated by the WDNR State Forest. Strip existing roadway of grass, brush, and dirt on edges of existing road to maintain 14' width. Furnish, load, haul and place an average of 6" thick granular fill to raise roadbed. 12" thick x 14' wide. Truck measure. Fill material will be obtained in the disposal/fill as designated by the WDNR State Forest. Furnish, load, haul, place and compact a 6" thick 1-1/4" or 7/8" road gravel base course. (6" x 14' wide x 10,560') Grade gravel, shape and final grade. Water and compact with a vibratory roller 14' wide. Pave an entrance on each end of the project abutting the town road. 25' x 16' wide x 2-1/4" thick average compacted hot mix asphalt surface with 10' radii.
