Description | Project Number-21.1508 Contract #4 - Plumbing Contract (PC) Sealed Bids, in duplicate, are sought and requested by the Board of Education, Lake Pleasant Central School District School District (hereinafter called "Owner"), for the Reconstruction to Lake Pleasant Central School. Separate Bids are requested for the following Contracts: General Mechanical Electrical Plumbing in accordance with the Drawings, Project Manual (including Conditions of the Contract and Specifications), and other Bidding and Contract Documents prepared by: Tetra Tech Engineers, Architects & Landscape Architects, P.C. d/b/a Tetra Tech Architects & Engineers 10 Brown Road Ithaca, New York 14850 Only those Contract Documents obtained in this manner will enable a prospective bidder to be identified as a registered plan holder. The Provider takes no responsibility for the completeness of Contract Documents obtained from other sources. Contract Documents obtained from other sources may not be accurate or may not contain addenda that may have been issued. All bid addenda will be transmitted to registered plan holders, regardless of receiving electronic or hard copy Bid Documents, via email and will be available at www.tetratechaeplanroom.com. Registered plan holders who have paid for hard copies of the bid documents will need to make the determination if hard copies of the addenda are required for their use, and coordinate directly with REV for hard copies of addenda to be issued. There will be no charge for registered plan holders to obtain hard copies of the bid addenda. As bid security, each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond made payable to the Owner, in accordance with the amounts and terms described in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner requires Bids comply with bidding requirements indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner may, at its discretion, waive informalities in Bids, but is not obligated to do so, nor does it represent that it will do so. The Owner also reserves the right to reject any and all Bids. The Owner will not waive informalities which would give one Bidder substantial advantage or benefit not enjoyed by all affected Bidders. Bids may not be withdrawn before 45 days following the Bid opening thereof, unless an error is claimed by the Bidder in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Scope of Work related to the Plumbing Contract (PC) includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Demolition a. Provide demolition of all plumbing piping, fixtures and equipment as indicated on the plans. 2. General, Code Compliance, and Architectural: a. Provide all fire-safing as it pertains to this scope of work. b. Coordinate the installation of all plumbing equipment pads within the building and on the site. Pads will be provided by the General Contract (GC). c. Sleeves, embeds, etc. 1) For new concrete and masonry walls the MC, EC, and PC related contractors shall furnish sleeves to the GC for installation. 2) Contractors furnishing sleeves to the GC for installation shall provide layout and position of said sleeves. 3) For sleeves penetrating existing walls and new light gauge metal framed walls, the respective MC, EC, and PC shall furnish and install their own sleeves. d. Provide pipe identification painting for piping in concealed areas. Pipe identification painting in exposed areas will be provided by the General Contract (GC). e. Coordinate all site excavation and backfill with the General Contract (GC), as it pertains to this scope of work. f. Any and all excavation needs within buildings and the 5 feet perimeter boundaries shall be provided by the Plumbing Contract (PC) to support the installation of their scope of work. g. Provide all temporary piping and connections required to make plumbing systems operational for the completion of individual project phases. 3. Plumbing a. Provide all plumbing, gas, piping, fixtures, equipment, and associated items complete. b. Furnish and install all trench drains located inside the building. The Plumbing Contract (GC) is responsible for all excavation that is needed to support the installation of drains within the building. 4. Provide all final cleaning as it pertains to this scope of work and at the time of each phase of completion 5. Hazardous Materials a. Provide a hose bib connection coordinated with General Contract (GC) for GC's abatement activities. b. Plumbing Contract (PC) is required to identify any items requiring abatement of to accomplish their Work for removal by GC prior to demobilization of GC's abatement subcontractor. Estimated Range- o $75K to $125K *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. |
