Description | For Traffic Signals Maintenance and Emergency on-call Services The Department of Public Works is advertising for Traffic Signal Maintenance and Emergency On Call Services. The Department of Public Works maintains approximately 333 traffic signals, 96 closed circuit television cameras (CCTV), 24 changeable message signs (CMS), and 80 miles of fiber optic communication cable. This contract will augment existing Traffic Signal Maintenance staff. Typical services performed under this agreement includes: emergency response to signal damage repair; detector loop replacement; repair and replacement of overhead street name signs; realignment and replacement of signal indications; signal communication troubleshooting to include CCTV, CMS, and fiber communication. The purpose of this contract is to maintain our traffic signal system to prevent traffic signal infrastructure and control devices necessary for the safe and efficient utilization of arterial, collector and local roadways. The City reserves and maintains the right to seek quotations and award proposal to any contractor for signal maintenance projects to include any and all work covered This Request for Proposal (RFP) does not commit the City to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a response. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive error, irregularity or abnormality in any or all proposals. The City reserves the right to amend or withdraw this Request for Proposal (RFP) at any time for any reason. All contractors preparing a proposal shall be notified within thirty (30) days of any change in the status of this RFP. |
