Description | Submit all questions regarding this RFQ in writing to Marilyn Heflin at heflinm2@miamioh.edu with the project number included in the subject line (no phone calls please). Questions will be answered and posted to the Opportunities page on a regular basis until one week before the response deadline. The name of the party submitting a question will not be included on the Q&A document. o Roof Assessment/Survey Services for the above-mentioned buildings must be complete by September 30, 2023. o Perform on-site existing condition inspections to assess materials that will then determine removal and new work specifications. o This will include existing roof systems, roof drainage systems, copings, and all systems identified upon inspection. o Provide a graphic roof plan for each identified roof area - each roof area will be numbered. o Provide photographic documentation of each roof area and any anomalies noted. o Provide an overview of each roof area, including a physical description of condition, including contiguous walls above roofs (i.e. masonry deterioration). o Provide square footage. o Description of perimeter details and conditions. o Provide assembly make-up for each area. o Roof Cores may be required. o Roofs known or thought to be in warranty will not be cored for assembly. o All investigative testing must be repaired to a watertight condition. o Provide conditions rating for each roof area. o Provide recommendations of needed actions for each area. o Provide a 5-year budget based on the listed recommendations for each identified roof area. o Review and comment on drawings and specification and provide details for the construction. o Provide thermographic analysis as needed. o For each building, a separate assessment report package should be developed. o Roof Access: It is the responsibility of all survey companies to provide their own equipment and trained personnel to access the roofs. If drones will be utilized, the company must register with the Miami University Department of Environmental Safety.
