Description | The Montgomery County Department of Parks (Parks) of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC or Commission) is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide design/build services for a pool at Little Bennett Campground, located at 23705 Frederick Road, Clarksburg, Maryland 20871. Offerors wishing to attend are asked to RSVP via email to Lisa.Alderson@montgomeryparks.org by 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022. The RSVP should include each attendee's name, firm name and email address. Montgomery County COVID-19 guidelines in effect on the date of the meeting will be observed. Deadline for Technical Questions: July 20, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. Questions must be submitted via e-mail to: Lisa.Alderson@montgomeryparks.org All inquiries regarding this solicitation are to be made to: Lisa Alderson, Contracts and Procurement Supervisor Email: Lisa.Alderson@montgomeryparks.org Phone: (301) 650-2862 MARYLAND RELAY SERVICE: 1 (800) 735-2258 [for the hearing impaired] All bids, where total bid is in excess of $100,000, must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Base Bid, properly executed in favor of the M-NCPPC. A performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount, are required for any design/build or construction contract in excess of $100,000. Acceptable security for bonds includes: 1. A bond in a form satisfactory to the Commission underwritten by an acceptable bonding company. Acceptable bonding companies are those having active claims offices in the District of Columbia; Arlington or Fairfax Counties or the City of Alexandria in Virginia; or Montgomery, Prince George's or Baltimore Counties in Maryland; and which are licensed by the Maryland Commissioner of Insurance and currently have an 'A' or better rating from A.M. Best Company, or a minimum Standard & Poor's rating of BBBq. The bonding company must have a resident agent named in Maryland. 2. A bank certified check, bank cashier's check, bank treasurer's check, or bank trust account. 3. Pledge of securities backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government or bonds issued by the State of Maryland or Montgomery or Prince George's Counties in Maryland. 4. Irrevocable Letter of Credit acceptable to the Commission. 5. Alternative security approved by the Secretary-Treasurer. The life of all contract securities must be consistent with the performance period of the contract. Bid guaranties will be returned upon request by unsuccessful Offerors. The successful Offeror must deliver the executed performance and payment bonds, together with all certificates of insurance required by the contract documents and the executed contract, to the Commission within 10 calendar days after the successful Offeror receives notice of award of the contract. If the successful Offeror fails to deliver these items within that period, the Commission may reject the bid and bidder will forfeit the bid guaranty. The Commission may then award the contract to the next lowest responsive and responsible bidder. |
