Remove and Replace Sewer Lines at the Log House, George Washington Birthplace National Monument, 1732 Popes Creek Road, Colonial Beach, VA This is a Request for Quote for construction prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13 and Part 36 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The work includes but is not limited to all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, insurance and permits. The work consists of the removal of exiting, deteriorated, cast iron Drain-Waste-Vent (DWV) sewer lines located in the basement of the Log House and replacing them with Schedule 40 DWV PVC materials. The Government anticipates awarding a single firm fixed priced construction contract to meet this requirement. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to the offeror that provides the best value to the government. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued as Request for Quote. This is a small business set-aside acquisition and only small businesses will qualify for award. The NAICS code for this proposal is 238220, Plumbing, Heating and Air-Conditioning Contractors with a small business size of $16.5M In accordance with FAR 36.204, the project magnitude is estimated to be under $25,000 and is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. General Decision Number VA20220023 dated 2/25/2022 applies. Contractors are required to have a UEI and an active registration in SAM, System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) prior to award.
