Description | This project consists of the removal and replacement of twenty-five (25) upblast exhaust fans (Loren Cook model ACRUB) located on the roof of Metro Central Transfer Stations main transfer building. See Attachment B, satellite imagery of Metro Central Transfer Station with bay names, year(s) constructed and fan locations, for additional information. Scheduling work at Metros transfer stations requires close coordination with a Metro Project Manager who will work with transfer station staff to determine the best days and times for contracted work to be done. See Attachment E for location of Metro Office, utility and site access, and designated lifting area information. The Metro Central Transfer Station Transfer Station roof area is approximately 350,000 sq. ft. Of that area, roughly 150,000 sq. ft. of the roof is low sloped (Bays 1 and 4) and designated as a walking-working surface (2/12 slope, or less) as defined by Oregon Occupational Safety and Health. Bays 2 and 3 have roof slopes ranging from 4/12 to 7/12. All fans located on roof slopes greater than 3/12 include a 30x48 standing platforms.
