MP-0487R and MP-0545 PH II Greenway Trail along the Oklahoma River and Wayfinding

The Base bid of the project includes constructing a 10’-12’ wide trail from the northeast intersection of S. Lincoln Blvd. and the Oklahoma River to just west of the northwest intersection of NE 4th St and Interstate 35. The trail the will be P.C. concrete. Three pedestrian bridges and an overhead railroad protection canopy structure are also included in the base bid. ADA accessible ramps and pedestrian signals will be required at street intersections. There are eight (8) Bid Alternates that may be selected for construction. These Bid Alternates include 1) constructing a trailhead parking lot at the southwest intersection of N.E. 4th St. and the Oklahoma River, 2) constructing the trail from asphalt pavement in areas outside the floodplain, 3) planting proposed trees, 4) installing the proposed wayfinding signs (MP-0545), 5) installing solar lighting at bridge underpasses, 6) constructing standard retaining walls in lieu of the decorative retaining walls in nonvisible areas, 7) constructing a trail loop in lieu of Pedestrian Bridge #1, and 8) constructing a trail loop in lieu of Pedestrian Bridge #3.
