| Description | Project generally includes the improvements to various lengths of the existing perimeter security fence at Massena International Airport with the intent to eliminate conditions that could lead to inadvertent entry to the airfield. Measures to address the fence will include replacement of existing fence with new fence utilizing posts directly driven into the ground to a depth below frost penetration. Sections of fence previously installed using this method which have become unstable due to excessive moisture conditions will be stabilized by removing and reinstalling the fence within a trench filled with material not susceptible to frost (crushed stone). |
