Description

Remove and replace submersible 150 HP, 4 pole well motor. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class C-57 or C-61/D-21 license at the time bid is opened. There are 40 working days. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for this project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. Failure to register prior to bid opening shall cause the bid to be deemed non-responsive and no exception will be allowed including the renewal exception allowed in Labor Code Section 1725.5 (c). No contractor or subcontractor may work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. Each bid shall be made in accordance with the specifications and proposal requirements thereof and no bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified or cashier's check, or original bidder's bond made payable to the City of Redding for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as a guarantee that the contractor will execute the contract in conformance with his proposal and the specifications. Such guarantee shall be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. The City of Redding hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, all businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, gender, disability, or other protected class in consideration for an award.
