RFQ Engineering - Engineering Design and Other Services for Old Highway 99 / 79th Avenue Roundabout

The City of Tumwater has acquired property at 1500 79th Avenue SE, Tumwater, Washington, for the purpose of constructing a new Maintenance & Operations facility and neighborhood park. The current intersection is poorly aligned and is stop sign controlled. The intersection experiences large delays on 79th Avenue during peak traffic hours. As mitigation for the new Maintenance & Operations facility and as part of a larger corridor transportation plan, the City will be constructing a roundabout at the intersection. This RFQ is for design and coordination services for a new roundabout at Old Highway 99 SE and 79th Avenue intersection. The Consultant will be under the direction of the city Capital Projects Manager. Proposals will be evaluated, and if multiple proposers are deemed capable of meeting the requirements, interviews may be held with the top 2 or 3 proposers commencing approximately August 29, 2022. The estimated date of notice of intention to negotiate a contract with the selected proposer is September 1, 2022. The estimated date of contract execution is September 2022. The Method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
