East Union Township 2022 Gravel Roads Resurfacing Project on various roads in East Union Township. 4,500 SY of Subbase Repair using AASHTO No. 3 Stone 4,500 SY of Geotextile Fabric, Type C 1,200 Tons of 2A Aggregate for Base Repair 2,880 Tons of Driving Surface Aggregate (DSA) 1,050 Tons of 2A Aggregate for Shoulder Back-up All materials and workmanship must meet PENNDOT Publication 408 Specifications and Standards. For the East Union Township 2022 Gravel Roads Resurfacing Project. The Bidders do not need to be PENNDOT prequalified. PA Prevailing Wages apply to this project. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township. Proposals should be marked "East Union Township 2022 Gravel Roads Resurfacing Project" Bid Proposal. After the pre-bid meeting these will be in the form of a written notice to all Bidders. For further information contact Bill Everett at 570-645-9545 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to East Union Township. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract amount within 20 days of the award of the contract. The East Union Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interested of the Township. Work is anticipated to begin in July or August 2022. complete all work on or before October 15, 2022.
