North Main Street Water Line Improvements

Furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, and equipment for the construction of the following: Approximately 1,592 linear feet of 6-inch water line and appurtenances o Approximately 27 linear feet of 8-inch water line and appurtenances o Approximately 4,705 linear feet of 10-inch water line and appurtenances o Approximately 21 each 2-inch thru 10-inch gate valves o One (1) 16-inch Cut-ln/lnsertion Valve o Approximately 8 each new Fire Hydrants o Approximately 23 each water service replacements/reconnections The project includes all labor, materials, tools, equipment, piping, site work and other appurtenances as directed and required for a fully functional project as depicted on the Contract Drawings and according to the Project Manual/Contract Document. All project-related questions are to be submitted to the Engineer in writing no later than 10 calendar days prior to bid and may be sent via e-mail to vtomaino@mesco.com. No questions are to be directed to Town of Louisburg staff or personnel. All bidders must follow the Guidelines for Recruitment and Selection of Minority Business for Participation in Construction Contracts as Revised November 1, 2002. The Owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of this notice or of the Contract Document; however, he may waive any minor defects or informalities at his discretion. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals, or to award the Contract that is in his best interest. Question Deadline 02/05/2023 Project Summary: replace approximately 6,324 linear feet (LF) of 6-inch through 10-inch water line with new 6-inch and 10-inch PVC and Ductile Iron water line and appurtenances and a new 16-inch cut-in valve to an existing 16-inch water line. A pre-bid meeting was held on Wednesday, February 21, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at the Town of Louisburg Operations Center at 115 Industrial Drive in Louisburg, NC. A copy of the pre-bid meeting minutes and sign-up sheet is enclosed and shall become a part of the Contract Documents. We request that all projectspecific or technical questions be emailed directly to Vincent Tomaino, PE at vtomaino@mesco.com no later than noon on Monday, February 6, 2023. All questions will be answered and addenda will be issued as required, prior to the bid opening.
