Description

The Retirement Systems of Alabama is seeking bids and qualification statements and materials from qualified vendors in order to provide professional 6-month, annual, and 5-year on-site inspections of fire suppression systems for RSA real properties located across the state The scope of the work includes annual and/or semiannual system inspections to verify proper system operation and code compliance. Locations and system types are described and more fully herein. Repairs or additional areas of work may be encountered or requested during the course of the contract term. The facilities include: GENERAL: The Retirement Systems of Alabama is seeking bids and qualification statements and materials from qualified vendors in order to provide professional 6-month, annual, and 5-year on-site inspections of fire suppression systems for RSA real properties located across the state. Bids will be received until 2:00p.m. CST 8.9.2022, at which time the submission period will be terminated. o RSA Tower Building o Alabama Center for Commerce o RSA Union Building o Alabama Center for Post-Secondary Education o RSA CJC Building o RSA Systems Building Interested firms must submit their proposal, three copies, in loose bound form with the following and other relevant information: As a minimum include with your bid the following: Company history and office locations. o Current service area/radius. o Contractor teaming arrangements or subcontract arrangements are not allowed (except for specialty contractors or consultants). o Copy of Alabama license and locality specific licensing required by each locality in the service area. o Contractor must be qualified to perform ALL work in accordance with applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and local fire code guidelines. o Proof of NFPA certification/qualifications o Corporations must furnish copies of registration with the Alabama Secretary of State. o Disclosure of ongoing litigation and claims history from the last five years. o Nonresident proposers must furnish a legal opinion of any preferences granted to proposers in their state of domicile in the letting of public contracts. o Current references from similar projects and customers Information must be presented in the order listed above, indexed and tabbed. Other supplemental information may be presented at the end of the required information. Brochures are discouraged and will not be considered as part of the submittal.
