Description | The lowest responsive bidder must demonstrate previous successful completion of projects of a similar size and scope to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: Maine Federal Aid Project Nos. 2670800, WIN 26708.00 & 2671400, WIN 26714.00. Location: In Androscoggin County: Project 2670800 is located on Route 4 in Livermore beginning 0.11 of a mile North of Mangan Road and extending Northerly 3.02 miles. In Androscoggin and Oxford Counties: Project 2671400 is located on Route 108 beginning in Livermore at Route 4 and extending North 7.50 miles to Canton. Outline of Work: Pavement Milling, Ultra-Thin Bonded Wearing Course with Drainage and Safety Improvements, and other incidental work. Questions received after 12:00 noon of Monday (or if that Monday is a state holiday, Friday) prior to bid date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable Federal Laws. This contract is subject to compliance with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program requirements as set forth by the Maine Department of Transportation. The right is hereby reserved to the MaineDOT to reject any or all bids.
