Description | As of January 13, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on March 23, 2023. Deadline for questions is October 31, 2022. Questions regarding the scope of work should be directed, in writing, to Charlie Lutz, AIA, HOK. Questions over the phone will not be accepted. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities in bids and to reject any and all bids WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. The Project includes the stabilization and concrete sub-floor jacking injection method into voids, cavities and openings beneath the existing Sculpture Hall floor. 2. Project includes interior renovations including demolition and new construction removal and replacement of stone flooring and portions of the underlying tile setting grout. a. The existing underlying concrete slab beneath the setting grout shall remain in place, smoothed for application of newly applied cleavage membrane and stone tiling system. 3. The project work includes procuring new stone flooring surfaces and placing the stone over prepared concrete subfloor and mud-set thick bed to match the existing flooring surface in the Sculpture Hall. 4. The new work includes finishing the new stone slabs and partial existing stone surfaces to match the appearance of the existing floor surface. a. The finished flooring stone surface shall match in appearance, color, jointing and size of the existing stone flooring, meeting the designated slip resistance indicated in the technical specifications for the project. |
