Description

This project entails the construction of a pier with berthing for one LNG vessel, two 160,000-cubic-meter full containment LNG storage tanks (with potential for a third), an LNG receiving facility, a send-out plant with ancillary features and 20.5 miles of natural gas pipeline on 330 disturbed acres. The project will encompass 2,800 feet of shoreline along the St. Croix River and the Passamaquoddy Bay. As of November 2019, the project is in the conceptual phase and the scope is subject to change. As of August 28, 2018 the developer is in talks with an energy company for a PSA. The owner is in the process of raising development funding. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to begin before Summer 2020.
