Piedmont Triad International Airport - Hertz Facility Demolition and Line of Sight Grading

Bids received after 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2023 will not be accepted. This project consists of demolition of the existing Hertz rental car facility, demolition of the existing Samaritan's Purse hangar, sanitary sewer lift station modifications, approximately 32 acres of clearing and grubbing, 300,000 CY of earthwork, erosion control items, seeding, mulching, and other incidental items necessary to complete the project. The purpose of this meeting is to familiarize the prospective bidders with the proposed project. The meeting will cover contract scope, schedule requirements, and any questions from those in attendance. A representative of the Authority and the Engineer will be on hand to respond to questions from potential Bidders in attendance. Minutes from this meeting will be made available via addendum. Please note that only registered plan holders may bid as a General Contractor. Each Bidder shall be prequalified as a "Bidder" by North Carolina Department of Transportation at the time the bid is submitted. Any subcontractors shall be prequalified by North Carolina Department of Transportation prior to start of work on the project. Each Bidder must be properly licensed under Chapter 87, General Statutes of North Carolina (G.S. 87-15). Each Bidder shall certify, by submission of a proposal, that neither it nor its principals is presently debarred, suspended, proposed for debarment, declared ineligible, or voluntarily excluded from participation in this transaction by any Federal department or agency or the State of North Carolina. The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in or to reject any or all Bids and to award or refrain from awarding the Contract for the work, whichever is deemed to be in the Authority's best interest.
