2023 Park and Playground Improvements project

As of 4/3/23, all bids rejected. A timeline for the rebid has yet to be established. The scope of work includes the The project consists of the City of Chester wanting to build a new playground for our city park. The area is 85 x 65 ft with 20 ft more in any direction. The playground will need a foundation, border, and mulch. Basically, it needs to be built from the ground up. The playground needs to be bright and vibrant in appearance. Some of the features we would like the playground to have a double slide, tube slide, right turn slide, tube bridge, plastic rock wall, ships wheel, rain wheel and fireman pole. Bid Opening Date is set for March 23, 2023, at 10:00 am, CST at the offices of the City of Chester at 141 Cade Street, Chester, Texas 75936. ARPA Invitation for Bid (IFB) documents can be obtained by emailing:seccityofchester@eastex.net This project is being supported, in whole or in part, by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, in utilizing the U.S. Department of The Treasury Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (ARPA) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the Texas Prevailing Wage rates, as issued by the Department of Labor, must be paid on this project.
