Description

Project No: W-19-026, W-19-018 The Project consists of four independently designed projects (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4) Part 1 - Brainerd Golf Course Pump Station Safety Improvements consists of constructing a precast concrete wetwell containing two submersible pumps and appurtenances; associated electrical gear and flow meter; approximately 600 feet of 8-inch force main and 1,400 feet of 8-inch and 185 feet of 12-inch gravity sewer; power to the new pump station; and demolition of existing pump station. Site Location: 5203 Old Mission Road, Chattanooga, TN 37411 Part 2 - Murray Hills #5 and Brainerd Manor Selected Pump Station Safety Upgrades consists of modifications to two existing pump stations. The Murray Hills #5 Pump Station modifications consist of a precast concrete wet well; submersible pumps and appurtenances; connection to the existing force main; valve vault including electromagnetic flow meter; and site improvements including a new security fence with gate, demolition of the existing can pump station, and repurposing the old wet well into a conventional manhole. The Brainerd Manor Pump Station modifications consist of a precast concrete wet well; submersible pumps and appurtenances; connection to the existing force main; valve vault including electromagnetic flow meter; site improvements including a security fence with gate, landscaping, demolition of the existing can pump station; relocation of the SCADA telemetry pole; and repurposing the old wet well into a conventional manhole. Site Locations: Murray Hills #5 - 3820 Kings Road, Chattanooga, TN 37416 Brainerd Manor - 4608 Ricky Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37411 Part 3 - Hixson 2 Pump Station Improvements consists of a 40-ft deep precast concrete wet well with three submersible pumps and appurtenances; associated electrical gear and flow monitoring equipment. The project also consists of a valve vault and meter vault, both approximately 10 feet deep. Installation of 57 feet of 36-inch gravity sewer and 320 feet of 24- inch force main is included with pump station construction. Demolition of existing pump station will follow construction of new pump station. Site Location: 5409 Old Hixson Pike, Chattanooga, TN 37343 Part 4 - Central Avenue Sewer Improvements consists of constructing a precast wetwell containing three submersible pumps and appurtenances; one precast bypass vault, one precast valve vault, one precast flow meter vault, necessary electrical gear to support the new pump station; instrumentation and controls to support the new pump station; transmission equipment to communicate with existing Owner SCADA system; an 18-inch gravity sewer piping extending from existing sanitary sewer to new precast wetwell with new manhole installed on existing sanitary sewer; a 12-inch force main piping extending from new pump station to new manhole; a new 12-inch gravity sewer from new manhole connecting to existing manhole on existing gravity sewer; landscaping, fencing, and asphalt driveway for the new pump station; grouting the existing sewer to be abandoned; and onsite generator to provide backup power the new pump station. Site Location: Nearest to intersection of Central Avenue and East 42nd Street
