Description | **As of January 27, 2023, the project was awarded to EF Wilkinson & Sons, Inc. in the amount of $858,946.79. The anticipated start is the beginning of April, 2023. Sealed bids for the installation of +/- 900 feet of Water Main, +/- 1,075 feet of Sanitary Sewer Main and Service, +/- 1,600 tons of HMA Pavement, (3) Sanitary Manhole structures, (2) Storm Manhole structures, removals of pavement, concrete and utilities, and other related appurtenances, clean-up, services, work and materials Questions regarding this project should be addressed to Bryan Nolan, Benchmark Engineering, Inc., Harbor Springs, Michigan 49740, via email at benchmark607@gmail.com or telephone (231) 526-2119. The City of Petoskey requires contractors and subcontractors be pre-qualified prior to commencement of construction. A Bidder who is currently pre-qualified to bid work in the City of Petoskey, is qualified to bid this project. The successful bidder shall be required to enter into contract with the City of Petoskey and to provide proof of Workers Compensation and Public Liability insurances. Please submit your bid in a sealed envelope clearly marked with "City of Petoskey - 2023 Bridge, Maple and Porter Streets - Road and Utility Rebuild". The name of the company submitting the bid must also be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope. Bidders acknowledge that no contract is created until a written contract is approved by City Council and executed by the City. The City is allowed to perform additional investigation after Council action and prior to execution of the actual contact. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of 75 days from the day of the bid opening. All proposals shall include a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the contract amount. The City of Petoskey reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to award to the bidder whose bid best serves the interest of the City. The contract completion date is June 29, 2023. |
