Each bidder must deposit with this bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. For Bidders submitting bids electronically, the bond submitted must be either a bond issued by the Surety in electronic format, or the original hard copy of the bid bond must be submitted to the Board of Trustees of Northeast Mississippi Community College, Attention: Bid Acceptance Committee, Northeast Mississippi Community College, 101 Cunningham Blvd, Booneville, MS 38829, prior to bid opening in order for the bid to be valid. Winning bidder will be notified by either phone or e-mail. Non-winning bidders will not be contacted. The bidder shall obey all Federal, State, County, or City laws and ordinances in any way pertaining to the work and shall obtain all permits that may be necessary for its performance if required. o That in the hiring of employees for the performance of such contract, nor any person acting on behalf of such bidder or shall by reason of race, creed, or color discriminate against any citizen of the United States who is qualified and able to perform the work. o Nor shall they in any manner discriminate against or intimidate any employees hired for the o performance of the work on account of race, creed, or color. The bidder shall be responsible for and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless NEMCC from all losses, damages, expenses, claims, demands, suits and actions brought by any party against NEMCC as a result of the Bidder's failure to comply with the provisions above. The existing flat roof will be removed and replaced. NEMCC requests roofing contractors to submit a bid to remove and install a new EPDM roofing system. o Remove existing gravel, BUR roofing, insulation and flashing to the deck and dispose of the debris. o Mechanically fasten one (1) layer of asphalt impregnated and coated with glass fiber mat reinforcement to the permadeck type roof deck. o Adhere one (1) layer of 1" (minimum) roof insulation to the base sheet using foam adhesive. o Install minimum 60 mil adhered Firestone (or approved equivalent) black EPDM rubber roof system with required flashings to all penetrations. o Extend EPDM membrane up and over parapet walls and terminate with new parapet cap. o Install new 24-gauge prefinished parapet cap, gravel guard, gutter, downpipe, counterflashing and eave metal. o Furnish manufacturer's 15-year watertight warranty. o Furnish contractor's two (2) year labor warranty.
