Description

Contract term: 1 year - With Option for 2nd and 3rd year. Venders will be required to: Provide end-use containers to Prairie State College's campus, Collect, transport and dispose of waste materials, Collect, transport, sort recyclables and ensure that recyclables are delivered to their proper markets/end users, Document the delivery of recyclables and report recycling/waste performance, Prepare the colleges 5 year trash audit in accordance with the Illinois Solid Waste Management Act, Provide monthly detailed diversion reports, Availability of web-based service scheduling, work order generation, and billing information. As part of this bid, the successful contractor will supply the college with composting options for a possible addition in the future. The composting options will detail the type of composting services you provide including: a. Type of acceptable waste for composting, b. Container size options, c. Price structure for both regular and on-call services, and d. The final destination for composted waste, the successful contractor will develop reports on monthly waste (landfilled, recycled, or otherwise) removed from campus. These should include the weight of waste picked up from each container. Where weight can not feasibly be directed measured an estimate based on container size is acceptable.
