Description | Coweta County is requesting bids for Water Vault and Backflow Installation. Major items of work consist of: 1) Purchase of all necessary material 2) Install 6" domestic line, 8" fire line, backflow, gate valves, leak detection meter and vault from the main service location 3) Jack & Bore Please see attached advertisement for more details. The Major Items of Work Consist of: 1. Purchasing all necessary material for water vault and backflow per Newnan Utilities specifications and drawings. 2. Installation of 6" domestic line, 8" fire line, backflow, gate valves, leak detection meter and vault from the main service on Greison Trail. 3. Jack and Bore and wet tap service line and fire line into existing 20" D.I.P water main on Greison Trail. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in the best interest of the County. Work is as specified in the Bid Document and is to be done in accordance with detail standards and specifications, where applicable. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond prepared on an accepted form, duly executed by the bidder, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. Owner reserves the right to waive any formality or informality or to reject any or all bids, to evaluate bids, and to accept any bid which in its opinion may be for the best interest of Owner. Owner has the right to add to and delete from the contract once it has been awarded. Award, if award is made, will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The successful bidder for this contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and labor and material payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. |
