Description

The City of Merced Public Works Department invites your proposal to provide the specialized skills, equipment, and materials needed to repair and return to service Municipal Drinking Water Well #13 located at 2890 E. Gerard, Merced Ca Questions pertaining to this RFP should be directed in writing only, no later than 72 hours prior to proposal submission to: Johnnie Baptista, Water Division Manager, baptistaj@cityofmerced.org Bond. This project will require the proposer who is awarded the contract to provide a payment and performance bond that covers the entire amount of the cost of the project as part of the contract execution and before commencing work as per California Civil Code 9550 et seq. The proposer is required to abide by all applicable provisions of the Labor Code, including payment of the minimum prevailing wage rate as determined by the State Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal or be awarded a contract for public work unless registered with the DIR pursuant to the Labor Code. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR (Attachment B, Section 16). The Consultant shall also meet the insurance requirements in Section 9 of the contract, including liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000, naming the City as additional insured (Attachment B, Section 14). The City reserves the right, without qualification, to: Reject any and all proposals;
