Description

The work includes the furnishing of labor, materials, and equipment for the construction of the Water Line Improvements Project, including, but not limited to installing approximately 4.9 miles of water distribution pipelines between 6-inch and 12-inch in diameter at various locations throughout the City of Hayward; including fire hydrant installation; pavement restoration; and making service transfers to new mains. The work also includes (2) locations requiring bore-and-jack and microtunnelling trenchless installation of steel casings for railroads and flood control channel crossings, abandonment of existing pipelines and performing other work or details not mentioned above, but are required by the Contract Drawings, Standard Specifications, Technical Specifications, or these Special Provisions.
