Description | **As of December 20, 2022 bids were rejected. No definite date for the rebid. A. Work to be Bid: 1. Work to be covered by the bid shall include construction of new Classroom and Gymnasium Addition including Lobby, Restrooms, Storage Rooms, Locker Rooms, Concessions, Office, sitework and pavement, as well as associated Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing work described in the Construction Documents. B. Type of Contract: 1. General Contractor 2. Mechanical Contractor 3. Electrical Contractor 4. Plumbing Contractor 5. Fire Protection 2. Bid security payable to the Owner in the amount of 5% of the total Bid, shall be executed by the Bidder in the form of certified check, bank draft, or acceptable surety. 3. The successful bidder will be required to execute a Payment and Performance Bond. Contractor must pay all sums of money due or to become due for any labor in accordance with Illinois Wages of Employees of Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Wages printed in the Project Manual are for the month of bidding only. Certified Payroll is required to be submitted with all Pay Applications. 4. Successful bidders will be required to perform and provide criminal background checks on all contractors, subcontractors and their employees, agents, or assigns that will be employed on this project prior to commencement of work, at the Contractor's expense. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informalities in the bidding. 3. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of Ninety (90) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. F. Project Schedule: The Owner requires all Classroom Addition Construction work contemplated in the Construction Documents shall commence December 1, 2022, and be finally complete no later than August 1, 2023. The Owner requires all Gymnasium Addition Construction work contemplated in the Construction Documents shall commence December 1, 2022, and be finally complete no later than December 1, 2023.
