2021 Street Paving Project

Pave North East Street from Collins Avenue to SR 138. A butt joint consisting of milling out existing pavement to allow for a smooth transition between existing and proposed pavement shall be required on pavement overlays. The minimum depth of asphalt at the butt joints shall be 1 ½ inch. All joints shall be sealed with a bituminous sealer. All areas overlaid shall also include a layer of ODOT 407 Tack Coat on the existing pavement applied at a rate of 0.09 gallons / S.Y. There shall also be a 1 foot wide berm using ODOT Item 411 Stabilized Crushed Aggregate in areas where no curb or sidewalk except in the area where west side of street is parallel to the area with curb and sidewalk. Pavement Planing shall be done in the areas of curbing and sidewalk adjacent to the street. Full depth base repair with ODOT Item 301 Asphalt Concrete Base to a depth of 4” shall be done from the intersection of Speigle Street to the creek crossing in the second curve where the road base has failed. Manholes and valve boxes shall be adjusted to grade using grade rings to ensure that manhole is level with the proposed pavement.
