Description

Removal of existing boardwalk, overlooks, docks, bridge, and platforms asindicated on project plans. Includes offload, staging and installation of complete prefabricated boardwalk system supplied by Owner with coordination throughout project with boardwalk manufacturer and Owner. Includes supplying and installing helical piers, aggregate pathway, timber transitions. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Sitework and Boardwalk Installation This project is being funded partially though the Michigan DNR Trust Fund Grant program, relevant state or federal requirements may apply. Federal Davis-Bacon wage rate requirements do not apply for this project. Prospective contractors are required to comply with anti-discrimination and equal employment requirements of the 1976 PA 220 (Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act) and Executive Directive 2019-09, as amended. The Contractor chosen by Antrim County shall not discriminate against any worker, employee, or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, height, weight, marital status, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, (except where requirements as to age is based upon a bona fide occupational qualification), or disability (that is unrelated to the individual's ability to perform duties of a particular job or position) pursuant to 1976 PA 453, as amended, MCL 37.2101 et seq. (ElliotLarsen Civil Rights Act). The County of Antrim reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularity in a bid, and to accept that bid which, in the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, is in the best interest of the County. It is the intention of the Board to award all work to a single contractor. However, the Board also reserves the right to award only a portion of the work. Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. Upon the Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents on compact disk will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen. The project site is open from 7:30 am to 4 pm Monday through Saturday, and available for viewing at your convenience. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
