Description | The Site Finishing Asphalt Scope of Work consists of, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Installation of all HMA Pavement. a. Includes type ‘K’ surface only areas b. Includes type ‘K1’ full depth areas c. Includes a full depth asphalt replacement at all areas marked with Demolition Note 7.i. The Site Electrical contractor is contracted to backfill his trenches back up to existing top of asphalt grade. This contract includes the removal of stone to bottom of asphalt base layer and re-compaction of that subgrade. d. Installation of Compacted No. 53 limestone under ‘K1’ asphalt areas per the following: i. North Side (see Asphalt Reference Drawing): compacted 53 stone will be installed to bottom of pavement elevation plus/minus 1” by earthwork contractor. This contract includes fine grading and re-compaction of subgrade under all ‘K1’ HMA Pavement. ii. South Side (see Asphalt Reference Drawing): This contract includes the full 8” compacted No. 53 stone layer under any ‘K1’ HMA pavement section. 2. Installation of all pavement markings indicated on sheets CJ1.C174 through CJ1.C177. a. Includes pavement marking in PCCP areas. 3. Installation of all parking bumpers per general note 9 on Site Layout Plan sheets. 4. Install sleeving under type ‘K1’ areas for future irrigation lines per sheet CJ1.I100. a. Sleeving under type ‘K’ existing asphalt sections is not included in this scope. 5. Contractor is aware that multiple contractors are working onsite and that it will be necessary to coordinate with those contractors as well as the Owner team including a bi-weekly logistics meeting and other meetings as needed. 6. Contractor has reviewed the existing site conditions and acknowledges the different conditions around the jobsite. GEN 05/20 NTB-2 7. This scope includes all manpower, equipment, materials, safety requirements, environmental submittals, permits, product submittals, etc., need to complete this scope of work. 8. All work is to be installed per DLZ’s Site Finishing for City of Indianapolis / Marion County Community Justice Campus Construction Drawings and Specifications. 9. Owner Allowances and Contingency a. Contractor to carry an Existing Pavement Repair Allowance of $100,000. b. Contractor to carry an Owner’s Contingency Allowance of $100,000. c. Contract allowance and/or any contingency dollars will be spent at the Owner’s discretion. Funds will be drawn from allowances and contingency only by Change Order or executed PCO. At closeout of Contract, funds remaining in Owner’s Contingency Allowance or other Allowances will be credited to Owner by Change Order. 10. Owner will contract separately for the following scopes of work to be completed during the listed time frames: a. Earthwork, storm, sanitary and waterline install: 9/1/2020 – 3/1/2021 b. Electrical and Low-voltage: 12/1/2020 – 9/10/2021 c. Site Concrete: 5/1/2021 – 9/10/2021 d. Site Fencing: 6/1/2021 – 9/10/2021 e. Site Signage: 6/1/2021 – 9/10/2021 f. Landscaping: 5/1/2021 – 11/1/2021 11. Asphalt Schedule Dates: a. All work in this scope is to be completed between 5/1/2021 and 9/10/2021. b. Contractor to assume at least four separate mobilizations to complete this scope of work. c. Substantial Completion for this Scope of Work is no later than 9/10/2021. |
