Custodial Services at City Police Department

1. Clean all interior and exterior glass, including doors, door sidelights, display cases, fire hose cabinets, mirrors, etc. 2. Sweep all non-carpeted areas including restrooms/locker rooms, stairwells and around drinking fountains. 3. Vacuum all carpeted areas; remove spots, report tears, etc. Vacuum privately owned rugs on request. 4. Mop all accessible non-carpeted areas, including hallways, entrances and around drinking fountains, daily. Use only damp mop for wood floors. Remove gum and spots as soon as noticed. Display “wet floor” caution signs when cleaning floors in areas where people other than contractor personnel are present. 5. Clean, disinfect and sanitize locker rooms and shower areas daily, including vacuuming carpeted areas, and sweeping and damp mopping non-carpeted areas. 6. Spot shampoo carpet as required. 7. Spot clean to remove dirt and marks from all washable surfaces of walls, partitions, doors, door handles and fixtures. 8. Clean and disinfect all porcelain and polished metal surfaces of drinking fountains. 9. Empty all trash, interior and exterior; secure liners and dispose of them, and replace liners. Dispose of other items labeled "trash". Wash out wastebaskets as needed. 10. Empty/clean cigarette urns and keep sand level within 1/2 inch of top.
