Description | The Shockoe Retention Facilities include the Shockoe Retention Basin, the East and West Shockoe Diversion Structures, the Diversion Conduits, and the East Gravity Outlet. The Facilities are all located along the north side of the James River in the City of Richmond in the immediate vicinity of 14th Street and Dock Street. These structures divert and hold first flush in a CSO/rain event. They are partially filled with debris from their normal operation which causes a loss of volume and other problems. The debris needs to be removed and disposed of 1) Removal and disposal of accumulated debris in the Shockoe Retention Basin (371 South 14th Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219). 2) Removal and disposal of accumulated debris in the East and West Diversion. 3) Removal and disposal of accumulated debris in the Diversion. 4) Isolation of the East Gravity Outlet from the James River and the removal and disposal of accumulated debris. 5) Transport and place the material for disposal at the Charles City County Landfill. |
