Drainage Improvements to Opechee Drive, Alves Street and Berry Lane

This project is for the installation of new catch basin and drainage manhole along Opechee Drive as shown on the construction plan prepared by Caputo and Wick LTD., dated September 2019. In addition, the scope of work includes the installation of catch basins and new drainage pipe along Alves Street and Berry Lane as shown on the plan prepared by BETA Group, dated 10/10/2019. The Contractor will be responsible for verifying the location of all utilities above and below the surface and for obtaining a Dig Safe permit. The project includes saw cutting the existing bituminous pavement, removing and legally disposing the existing pavement, excavating and installing new HDPE drainage pipe, catch basins, drainage manhole, backfilling and compacting the trenches with approved gravel borrow, and installing a bituminous temporary trench patch; and after a suitable settlement period of approximately 60 days, saw cutting the existing bituminous pavement to provide a straight edge between structures, removing the temporary bituminous trench patch, install a new 2 ½” bituminous binder course and a new 1 ½” surface course, 6” loam and seeding where necessary, and any incidentals necessary to complete the project.
