Description

As of September 1, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. This was an RFQ for Design-Build Entities not a construction bid. Owner will have more information available as the project progresses through next phases. The City of Larkspur will be accepting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms interested in providing design-build services to design and construct a new City Library, New Community Space, and Associated Sitework. The project consists of design and construction of a new one-story library structure (6,845 max S.F.) and an additive alternate for a new community space structure (approx. 2,100 S.F.), associated exterior site improvements (including parking and mix of outdoor uses), equipment, and furnishings. The project is to be constructed on an empty parcel of land (approximately two acres) located at the intersection of Rose Lane and Doherty Drive in the city of Larkspur, CA. The library building structure shall include, but not limited to, administration and public spaces, archive, collections, multi-purpose, reading space, children's programming and public restrooms. The community space building structure shall include, but not limited to, meeting rooms, food prep area, AV/Data closets, and storage space. The design-build process of the library building structure, community space building structure, and associated site improvements are anticipated to start simultaneously. The City is utilizing a Best Value Design-Build procurement process. The project estimate is approximately $13.5 million inclusive of the additive alternate. This project is supported in part by funding provided by the State of California, administered by the California State Library. Matching funding is provided by the City's funding partner, the Commons Foundation. The CMPA training room is located at the following address: Central Marin Police Authority 350 Doherty Drive Larkspur, California, 94939 Addenda: Firms are responsible for monitoring the website listed above for any posted addenda. Notifications will NOT be sent by the City.
