Description | Roof repair work 1. Repair work consists of removal of partial or the entire existing roof system down to the concrete structural roof slab. This procedure may consist of the following:a) Removal of the existing roof insulation and vapor barrier which involves full or partial removal of existing roofing down to the slab (scarify the slab, patch structural roof slab with quick curing patch, apply primer, temporary roof/vapor barrier). b) Install new drains, pitch pockets and metal flashing c) Install new rigid insulation and roof membrane d) Install protection board e) Apply sealant Perform minor alterations or maintenance which does not require a permit and will not diminish the safety or the integrity of the building. Replace roofing with a highly reflected & emissive, waterproofing membrane, and all other ancillary waterproofing work, including but not limited to installation of insulation, vapor barriers, cover boards, coating, sealants, and metal work as specified in the Contract Documents. Contractor must provide a minimum complete manufacturer’s no dollar limit 30-year full system guarantee on installation and materials. Slope to drains a) NYCHA requires at a minimum sloped system which will move water towards drains. |
