Description

Excavate approximately 300,000 tons of material from the project site (the Salt Fill), which is adjacent to a residential subdivision and to the marsh (Mentor Marsh), and which contains a seasonally high water table resulting in high salinity and high pH leachate. Appropriately manage the contact water at the site Properly dispose or reuse the excavate material, which will likely involve constructing a truck access road to state route 44. Stabilize the site for the safety of the local residents and to allow for future restoration activities.
