Description | The repair project includes removing and replacing timber cross bracing while protecting the existing piles along the boardwalk. In general, the Scope of Work include, but not be limited to repairs to the floating dock by removing and replacing float sections, pile guide assemblies, and whalers. The project also consists of cleaning marine growth from the pile guides, sealing cracks in concrete floats, and replacing missing pile caps. Each Bidder shall carefully examine the "Solicitation Documents", including any Addenda. The bidder shall at once notify and place in writing any discrepancies or ambiguities in the solicitation documents to the Town's Procurement Division. Written notification must be received no later than 12:00 P.M. on January 12, 2024. The Town's Procurement Portal He has read and understands all documents, including the Scope of Work relating to the project and that his firm holds a current State of South Carolina Contractor's License sufficient for the specified construction, and; therefore, his Bid is made accordingly. Unless all Bids are rejected, the Contract will be awarded to the lowest, most responsive, qualified and responsible Bidder for each item of work or combination of the items described in the Bid Form, as stipulated and contained herein. The Town shall have the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in any Bid received and to accept the Bid, which, in his judgment, is in his own best interest. All decisions of the Bids and Purchases Committee shall be final. It is understood and agreed that the Town shall have sixty (60) calendar days to accept any offer(s). The Town requires that a Bid Security Deposit in the amount of at least five (5%) percent of the proposed Contract price be included and submitted with the Bid. This deposit may take the form of certified check, cashier's check or bond. In the event the Bidder is the successful low Bidder and fails to enter into written Contract with the Town within five (5) calendar days after notification of the award of said Bid, the Bid Security Deposit shall, at the option of the Town, be forfeited to the Town and retained and deposited to the Town's account. The successful Bidder shall provide a Certificate of Insurance to the Town in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of the Contract documents. The successful Bidder will provide proof of such insurance to the Town by providing a Certificate of Insurance reflecting such coverage and adding the Town as a Certificate Holder.
