Description | As of March 14, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. HVAC improvements to the Library. The project scope shall be as follows: a. Remove existing unit ventilator and supply/return piping back to main. b. Install new unit ventilator and resized supply and return piping along with new active fin tube radiator sections. c. Install new exterior condensor on concrete pad along with insulated refrigerant lines and electrical connections. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. A. Construction shall begin following the completion of the 2022-23 school year. Work shall be completed over the Summer of 2023. Attention of the Bidder is particularly called to the Owner's sales tax exemption, the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. In addition, the Bidding Documents for this project contain detailed requirements for the qualification of Bidders. These include, among other things, rigid bonding and insurance requirements, financial statements, bank references, lists of lawsuits, arbitrations or other proceedings in which the Bidder has been named as a party, a statement of surety's intent to issue Performance and Payment Bonds, and a description of other projects of similar size and scope completed by the Bidder. Bidders will comply with New York State prevailing wage and supplement requirements which must be complied with on the Project. |
