Description | “The owner has selected a Design Builder. The complete proposal and any additional documents shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope or container which is clearly marked on the outside: DESIGN/BUILD POLE BARN AND REROOFING OF EXISTING BARNS and submitted to the County through one of the two methods listed above. No responsibility or liability will be attached to any County official, employee or agent for the premature opening or failure to open any proposal not marked according to these instructions. ny statements made by County representatives at this site visit are not binding on the County unless confirmed in a subsequent written addenda to this RFP. Attendance at the Pre- RFP site visit is mandatory for proposers, and all interested persons are invited to attend. No bid security is required. However, the successful proposer will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in accordance with ORS 279C.380. Each proposer must have a public works bond on file with the Construction Contractors Board before starting work on the project unless exempt under ORS 279C.836(4) or ORS 279C.836 This project is for a public works subject to Oregon Prevailing Wage Rate Law. No proposal will be considered unless the proposal contains a statement by the proposer that the proposer will comply with ORS 279C.800 to ORS 279C.870. The applicable prevailing wage rates for this project are the July 1, 2022, Prevailing Wage Rates for Public Works Contracts in Oregon, and may be accessed The County may reject any proposal not in compliance with all prescribed proposal procedures, requirements, rules, or laws, and may reject for good cause any and all proposals upon the County's finding that it is in the public interest to do so. Briefly, the work of the RFP includes the design and building of a new pole barn and the reroofing of up to 4 existing barns. The pole barn is to be approximately 48' x 96', open ended with a minimum interior clear height of 14' at the perimeter. The work is to be completed no later than July 3, 2023. Pole Barn - The selected proposal must include supply and erection of a pole barn, open on all sides, with minimum inside dimensions of 48'x96', and a minimum interior clear height 14' at the perimeter. The entire floor space is to be open with no internal columns. The proposed structure must, in addition, be engineered and constructed in a manner that will allow for the open perimeter walls to be completed, and the structure fully enclosed without requiring substantial modification. A Schematic Design for the proposed Pole Barn must be included with the proposal. In addition to the pre-engineered structure, the proposal must include any and all temporary facilities, access ways, excavation, concrete work, backfill, and other work necessary to construct the structure and its foundation.
