Description

As of January 6, 2023, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. The work to be performed includes strengthening of the Rainier Blvd Bridge over East Fork Issaquah Creek to increase the shear capacity of the girders. Strengthening will be achieved by installing Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Strips applied to the webs of the girder units as defined in the plans and specifications. We reserve the right to waive any irregularities or informalities and to reject any or all bids and to award this Contract to a single bidder based on the lowest responsible bid for aggregate total of both schedules. Proposals shall be on forms included in the contract documents and shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond (with an authorized surety company as surety), made payable to the City of Issaquah, in an amount not less than 5% of the amount of the bid. No bidder may withdraw their bid after the time announced for the opening, or before the award and execution of the contract, unless the award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty-five (65) days. Bidders must comply with all applicable governmental requirements including but not limited to, affirmative action programs and other equal opportunity actions as explained in the specifications.
