Description

Renovating the Woodrow Wilson Middle School to convert into the “Middletown Recreation Center”. The primary area of work is in the rear of the building in and around the existing auxiliary gymnasium which is to become a multipurpose space that could be used as a dining area. In these areas work will include MEP improvements and cosmetic renovations. Additionally, the primary corridors are to have cosmetic renovations and new lighting. As an additional add alternate, the existing roof needs to be removed & replaced and the natatorium roof needs a restoration. This portion of work described in this bid offering could be performed along with an energy services agreement being separately solicited by the city. If this separate work is accepted by the city there will be coordination between the 2 contracting entities. The energy services work is to include adding solar panels to the natatorium roof, a new battery storage unit and a co-generation unit to provide alternative energy systems for the entire building.
