Description

Two piece L-853 Type II elevated runway and taxiway marker shall consist of a flexible, above ground post made from durable, nondiscoloring polyethylene plastic to which retro-reflective sheeting is applied. The surface mounted marker is supported in a thermoplastic base, which is secured to the pavement with epoxy or a butyl pad or mechanical fasteners. The marker shall be secured to the thermoplastic base with two horizontal locking pins. When the marker is no longer serviceable it can be easily removed and a new marker installed into the existing base. Marker shall be free from metallic parts. . . 1.The marker shall be tubular in shape and two and twenty-one thirty inches [2-21/32+1/8] in a diameter. 2.A one and three quarter inch [1 3/4 =1/8 ] diameter interior reinforcement tube shall be located in the lower portion of the marker and secured to the assembly with a plastic pin. 3.The marker top shall be fitted with a cap to prevent debris from collecting inside the cylinder. 4.The marker tube color shall be white or gray and be resistant to ultraviolet light. 5.All components used in the marker assembly and the base shall be non-metallic. 6.Accessible in blue, white, orange, yellow, green, and red colors. 7.Accessible in heights of 14 , 24 , 30 , & 36 8.Available with surface & ground stake mounts. 9.Butyl pads & thermos pads must be available. . Marker MUST also be able to COMPLY with FAA Advisory Circular No. 150/5345-39D . Successful Vendor MUST Be ABLE to MEET delivery time of 30-days After Receipt of Order . Bid Price MUST BE INCLUSIVE of ALL FEES, Including but NOT Limited To: Shipping; Mileage; Shop; Handling and Environmental. NO OTHER FEES Shall Be Considered or Paid. Any vehicle required to access the airfield during this contract shall be provided a continuous escort by Cleveland Hopkins International , Airport and shall be provided a similar escort when departing the airfield. All vehicles are required to display on both sides of the vehicle professionally made company logos for security and identification purposes. The minimum size for such required signage is 24" x 24" overall dimensions with a minimum of 2" lettering. No paper or cardboard type signage and/or logos will be approved. All vehicles are subject to inspection when they enter or at any time deemed appropriate while they are within the secure areas of the area. Aircraft always have the right of way. Vehicles that traverse Cleveland Hopkins International Airport shall adhere to the 15-mph hour speed limit. VEHICLE PARKING: Contractor vehicles, equipment, and supplies may not be placed within ten (10) feet of any airport fence.
