Environmental Consulting Support Services

The MDOT MTA requires the service of a consultant to provide expertise and experience in the areas of environmental compliance support and environmental engineering services. As described in the following, the consultant shall assist the MDOT MTA by providing certain work associated with the Agency’s environmental compliance program, policies, and procedures. The performance of this work shall culminate in deliverables which may include preparation of documents, audits, final reports, design specifications, planning studies, cost estimates, computer databases, and environmental surveys and assessments. Services may include, but not be limited to: * Regulatory expertise (EPA, MDE, and local environmental regulations). * On-site personnel as staff supplements. * Environmental training. * Administrative support such as tracking, environmental record-keeping, and database development and data entry. * Hazardous Materials identification surveys, sampling, reporting, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Plan development and implementation. Hazardous Materials may include: * Asbestos * Lead * Mercury * Mold * Poly Chlorinated Biphenyls (“PCBs”) The Consultant may be assigned other environmental specific duties as necessary by the Chief Safety Officer to support environmental compliance, awareness, and stewardship.
