Electrical Contractors/Upgrade Fire Alarm Mass Notification

This is Step 1 of a 2-step ITB to pre-qualify Electrical Contractors for Phase 2 of the Upgrade Fire Alarm Mass Notification Systems project. This project will replace outdated fire alarm control panels and notification devices (horns) with modern components including speakers and strobes in 12 buildings throughout campus. Planned upgrades also include Code Blue IP audio interface. The project is divided into 4 phases to spread the cost and minimize disruption. Phase 1 includes Berthoud Hall (BE), Arthur Lakes Library (LB), and Alderson Hall (AH). This solicitation is for Phase 2 and includes Brown Hall (BB), Chauvenet Hall (CH), Coolbaugh Hall (CO), and CTLM (CT). A separate contract will be awarded to the campus fire alarm vendor (Tech Electronics) for high-speed network upgrades. Step 2 will be the announcement of pre-qualified electrical contractors that will be invited to bid on Phase 2 of this project.
