Description

**As of September 26, 2022, project was awarded to Complete Demolition Services, awarded amount is $537,350.08.** The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: The project consists of the partial demolition of concrete wastewater plant process structures to four feet below grade and filling the structure with soil. Two concrete wastewater basins will have small sections demolished and will not be backfilled. One lagoon structure with an earthen bottom will be left intact and a drainpipe will be installed so that the structure will not hold water. There will be numerous motors, aeration equipment and electrical equipment to be removed throughout the plant. There are two small CMU buildings to be demolished including the floor and foundations. Two steel sludge tanks are to be demolished and several chemical tanks. Bidder shall also provide a letter from the Surety Company verifying the Bidder has the bonding capacity as outlined for the project and that the Surety Company will bond projects for Contractor as outlined in the specifications. The OWNER is not obligated to consider a Bidder's proposal if Bidder is not on record with the Issuing Office as having received complete Bidding Documents/Project Manual from the Issuing Office. Digital versions of the Bidding Documents/ Project Manual may be obtained for a non-refundable payment of $50.00. Contractor questions regarding the bid should be directed to Jason Graham via email at jgraham@pcgeng.com. All questions must be submitted in writing. The last day for contractor questions is Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 5:00 PM. The time allowed for Substantial Completion is 180 days, and the time allowed for completion and readiness for final payment is 210 days from the date of commencement. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond completed on the attached Bid Bond Form with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNER in an amount equivalent to five (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount at least equal to 110 percent of the contract amount, and a Certification of Insurance will be required. A Certification of Insurance will be required from the low bidder prior to award of the Contract. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for ninety days after the day of the Bid opening, but OWNER may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities and re-advertise.
