PA 88 over Tributary Monongahela River

The proposed work consists of lining the structure with a pre-fabricated metal pipe arch and grouting the surrounding annular spaces. The existing downstream wingwalls will be replaced with a concrete U-Channel and the upstream walls will be modified to incorporate a trash rack. Traffic impacts will be minimal, as the existing two-lanes on SR 88 will be maintained, only shifted onto the shoulders of SR 88. Roadway work is also minimal. A new bituminous overlay will be constructed at the project's completion. Guiderail, signing and pavement markings will be updated within the project limits and other miscellaneous construction, as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package for State Route 0088, Section S10, in Washington County Speers Borough from approximately 0.5 miles south of Charleroi at segment 0480 offset 3061 to approximately 0.9 miles north of Dunlevy at segment 0480 offset 2061.
