Description

The City of Aurora, Illinois (City) is in need of professional services from a qualified engineering firm for Phase 1 Engineering Services, for the installation of a multi-use path, parallel to Edgelawn Drive, crossing the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad tracks, just south of Virgil Gilman Trail and approx. 450 feet north of Jericho Road. As part of the consultant selection process, the City is requesting that you submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) to perform the requested work. All questions must be received by 12:00 pm (CST) on Friday, August 28, 2020. A response to all questions received will be posted on the City's website by 5:00 pm (CST) on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. The SOQ and any questions shall be addressed to Robert Greene, P.E., PTOE, City Traffic Engineer, City of Aurora, Engineering Division, 77 S. Broadway, Aurora, IL 60507, at RGreene@aurora-il.org. The construction cost of the project is estimated at $470,000.00. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. The City of Aurora reserves the right at any time and for any reason to cancel this consultant procurement process, to reject any or all SOQ's, or to accept an alternative SOQ. The City of Aurora reserves the right to discard any immaterial SOQ. The City and/or staff may seek clarification from an offer at any time and respond promptly if there is cause for rejection. The City of Aurora will not be liable in any way for any costs incurred by consultants in replying to this Request.
