Description

A bid bond will be required with bid submission in the amount of 5% of the total bid, unless otherwise stated in the bid specifications. All sureties must be in original format (no copies) When submitting a bid online, vendors must submit an electronic bid bond through the respective online clearinghouse bond management system(s) as indicated in the electronic bid solicitation on Central Auction House. No scanned paper copies of any bid bond will be accepted as part of the electronic bid submission All awards in excess of $25,000.00 will require both a performance and a payment bond. Unless otherwise stated in the bid specifications, the performance bond requirements shall be 100% of the contract price. Unless otherwise state in the bid specifications, the payment bond requirements shall be 100% of the contract price. Both bonds shall be supplied at the signing of the contract. We extend this bid to cover all labor, materials, and necessary essentials to remove and replace a one hundred and fifty (150) feet long x thirty (30) feet high section of chain link fencing and attached poles at the above location. Remove one hundred and fifty (150) feet of existing exterior six (6) feet chain link fencing under the thirty (30) feet high fencing. The successful bidder shall supply all labor, materials and necessary essentials to perform the following at ML King Playground. o Remove and replace a one hundred and fifty (150) feet long x thirty (30) feet high section of chain link fence and attached poles. o Parks and Recreation will not be responsible for any materials or equipment on site while the job is in progress. o Awarded vendor must provide their own dumpster on site to dispose of debris and must get dumpster location approved. o Vendor shall be responsible for furnishing and installing all equipment, parts, supplies, supervision and personnel needed, plus any permits, fees, etc. needed to complete this job. o Fabric: 120" 9-gauge 2.0 oz (2" mesh) KT Chain Link Fence. o Top Rail: 1 5/8" O.D. Schedule 40 Pipe, 2.27 lbs. per foot. Top rail to be 21 feet in length joined with 1 5/8 "galvanized sleeve. o Line Post: 3" Schedule 40 Pipe, 5.79 lbs. per foot. Line post 10' on center spacing. Each to have concrete footings measuring 24" in diameter and at a 50" depth. o Terminal Post: 4" O.D. Schedule 40 Pipe, 9.11 lbs. per foot. Each to have concrete footings measuring 24" in diameter, and at a 50" depth. o Bracing: 1 5/8 O.D. Schedule 40 Pipe, 2.27lbs. per foot, used for both middle rail and top rail. o Fittings: Beveled brace band and galvanized with nut carriage bolt, pressed steel combo rail-end, 14-gauge steel boulevard clamp, pressed steel loop cap, 3/4" steel tension bar, beveled tension band and galvanized with nut carriage bolt. o Tie Wire: 9 1/2 9-gauge aluminum tie wire and 8 1/4 " 9-gauge aluminum tie wire spaced 6" on center for line posts and 6" on center for rails. o Concrete Footings: To be truck poured concrete. o Remove one hundred and fifty (150) feet of existing six (6) feet exterior fencing under the thirty (30) feet high fencing.
