Broward Boulevard Watermain Replacement (Phase I and II)

Replacement of water mains within FDOT and city right-of-way. Work within FDOT right-of-way (Broward Boulevard) shall be considered Phase 1, the remainder of the project Phase 2. Due to excessive lead-times for material delivery, City shall pre-purchase pipe, fittings, joint restraints, gate valves, tapping sleeves, and service assemblies in advance and store in central location near project for Phase-1 (Contractor shall furnish and install materials for Phase 2). The Work set forth within these bid/proposal documents includes the furnishing of all labor, materials (with exception of those pre-purchased by City), equipment, services and incidentals for installing approximately 5,900 LF feet of 6-inch, 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch water main and 450 LF of 14-inch subaqueous directional drilled, including connections to existing water mains, and grouting/abandoning existing water mains shown on the Drawings. Maintenance of existing operations is mandated throughout the construction period. Phase 1 of the Work is located in Broward County, in the City of Plantation. It encompasses Broward Boulevard from Holly Lane to East Acre Drive. Phase 2 is within Holly Lane and Cypress Road. The project is located in FDOT and City right of ways, City easements, City rights-of-way and on residential properties.
